The Bo-Kaap (literally ‘above the Cape’) was once home to freed slaves after the abolition of slavery in the Cape. These days, the area is known for its steep cobbled streets, stunning views of Cape Town, multicultural character, and unique architecture. This is a slightly different perspective of some of Bo-Kaap’s much-photographed, brightly-coloured houses. [South Africa, 2013]
