Bo Kaap houses II
The Bo-Kaap (literally ‘above the Cape’) was once home to freed slaves after the abolition of slavery in the Cape. These days, the area is known for its steep cobbled streets, stunning views of Cape Town, multicultural character, and unique architecture. Here, I’ve tried to capture a different perspective of some of Bo-Kaap’s much-photographed, brightly-coloured houses.

Cape Argus Cycle Tour
Participants in the Cape Argus Cycle Tour, the world's largest individually timed cycle race (the second largest such race is also hosted in South Africa!), and the first event outside Europe to be included in the International Cycling Union's Golden Bike Series. Well known competitors have included Miguel Indurain, Jan Ulrich and Lance Armstrong. [South Africa, 2013]
